The Entrepreneurial Mind Set: ……………………
……………………………………………………………………
Out of my curiosity for profound knowledge and entrepreneurial skills, I asked Mr. Ronald, owner of Ronald coffee company in my Area. What does it take to succeed in business. today?
Mr. Ronald is the founder and CEO of Ronald Coffee Company. In his words, he said. most entrepreneurs often ask me similar question.
I think for me, business owners, should do their job not because they want to be rich or famous but because they love what they do.
For him, to succeed in business you must fundamentally and continually provide solutions to basic human problems. This is true, and solving problems is the only thing an entrepreneur can control.
The Act of Dedication:
Nobody can invent wealth or fame, but we can devote ourselves to the grinding, our goal should be all about fixing things and if we do it well a company will be born out of our ideas, and that company will even create more complex problems to solve!
Ronald’s answer, is right on point, because it sets up what comes next.
Mr. Ronald continued, If you create a company just for the sole purpose of acquiring wealth, you will create an unstable and a selfish entity, if you create a company with the intention of attracting fame, you will create a top down organization that serves only your own needs. But if you create a company that can solve basic human needs, you will attract individuals of like minds who will contribute their various skills and expertise to change the world for good.
A short story:
This reminds me of two young business starters, who moved to a remote city in Asia, to open up a shoe company, the first person named Henry” who was motivated by acquiring wealth, came back to America after spending one week in the city, when I confronted him, with a question of why he had to return so soon from his business adventure? He narrated to me that he was discouraged by the fact that people don’t wear shoes in that part of the world, in his words. I saw no need to invest my time and resources in a city where no one wear shoes, 70% of the population leave below $5 a day, I don’t think they can even afford our brand of shoes.
The second entrepreneur Named: Jason, who was motivated by the love for solving problems and finding solutions to human needs. Saw an opportunity to establish a big shoe industry, that can be affordable for the low-income population.
he ignored the odds and started his shoe company coupled with an awareness center, to educate the people on the comforting benefits of wearing shoes.
After one year in business in the same city, he tripled and quadrupled his investment.
So, while Henry saw excuses and reasons not to start his business, Jason in the other hand, saw an opportunity to solve problems.
again, we can grasp that, the biggest game changer in business today, is to adopt the entrepreneur mind set i.e., the mind set to see beyond the challenges and provide solutions to the most basic needs of individuals, without minding their location or financial status.
In other words,
the fundamental role of an entrepreneur in our world today is that of discovering and solving problems.

That is the entrepreneur spirit! that is the entrepreneur mind set! Is the ability to able to discover a problem and offer a valuable solution to it. That’s what separate the people who succeed in business and those who do not succeed!
